Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)

Someone gave you a can of garbanzo beans. What do you do with them? Well, here’s an idea.

In your saucepan, dump some chickpeas, add some minced garlic, a few dashes of curry powder, and a little olive oil. Toss them about, and if you have some broccoli toss that in, too. Heat and stir just long enough for things to blend and you start to smell the ingredients. Be careful not to keep the pot on the fire too long because you don’t want to burn anything. Another option is to take the finished product and mix it with fresh salad materials such as lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
