Salmon Is Healthy

People need Vitamin D. It is THE most important vitamin to help you use calcium, and it’s vitally important to keep your immune system working properly. It’s said that the Covid-19 infection might be worse in people who don’t get enough Vitamin D. Most Americans don’t get enough Vitamin D because they’re indoors most of the time. Another way to get D is via supplements, either in pills or in fortified milk products.

HOWEVER, salmon is the biggest source of Vitamin D. Mackerel and Trout are also good source.

You can buy canned salmon or frozen filets. Gorton’s salmon filet I think is excellent. It is also pre-grilled, so all you need to do is heat it and serve it over a bed of rice. For canned salmon, Bumble Bee and Starkist are good. If you want to spend a little more, Thrive Market and Wild Planet salmon are quite good.
